This eye study model isolates and enlarges one of the most studied anatomical details in classical sculpture. Inspired by Michelangelo’s David, the piece transforms the eye into a focused reference tool for artists.

By sectioning the form into a relief format, the model allows clear observation of eyelid thickness, orbital structure, and the relationship between brow ridge, upper lid, and lower lid. The simplified presentation makes light behavior and plane transitions easier to analyze.

Purpose

Designed as a practical anatomy reference, this model supports:

• Eyelid structure study
• Orbital bone construction
• Plane transitions around the eye
• Light and shadow analysis
• Constructive drawing practice

The relief format makes it particularly effective for wall-mounted studio reference.

Material & Construction

3D printed in high-grade biodegradable PLA+ polymer with a smooth matte surface suitable for directional lighting.
